Get Green Plants

Apart from the fact that natural plants beautify your office space (or desk), they reduce stress and enhance work attitude. Plants also improve air quality by adding oxygen to the indoor environment.

Use Natural Lighting

Apart from light from overhead lamps, it is important to allow some natural light in also as studies have shown that it helps in increasing productivity and reducing stress and fatigue. Natural light also eases eye fatigue and slows aging of the retina. Blinds can be used to control the glare from light. 

Get Ergonomic Chairs

Sitting for a long time, which in itself is not healthy, is worsened when the chair is uncomfortable. You need to invest in a desk chair with adjustable seat and armrest heights, good lumbar support and recline-able backrest to prevent body aches.

Take A Break

Your level of productivity is usually higher at the start of the day, but as time goes on, focus tends to drop. It is vital to take time to get refreshed at this point before you proceed with your tasks. Most organizations have recess period to enable workers take their minds off work for a while to get revitalized. It is advisable to go for a walk or take a nap during your break.

Listen To Music

Soft music can help to stimulate your mind, especially when you are performing monotonous tasks. Listening to music can help to reduce stress as you work. But be sure to use headphones, especially if other people find music in the office annoying or distracting.
